Grading Logicâ„¢
-
Compares only the sheets, cell ranges, cell properties, and chart properties
selected by instructor.
-
Filters out all cells in the selected ranges that don't have a formula or text,
except for the cells that are in the first row or column. See
cell filtering section for details
-
Spreadsheets are sorted and compared by spreadsheet name. If no spreadsheet
matches by name, that spreadsheet is matched by position.
-
Charts are sorted and compared by sheet name and chart title.
-
Charts without a chart title will not be compared.
-
Missing charts will be automatically scored a 50 point penalty.
-
Compares chart data values not the data source property.
-
If the correct chart data was typed into the wrong cell range, points will be
deducted for the cell text property, but not the chart data values property, if
the check sum of the chart values is correct.
-
If the student has a formula that differs from the instructors, but produces
the same results, the student will be penalized for the formula but not the
text property.
-
Border properties of the right and bottom sides of a cell will not be graded,
to prevent double counting of errors, when the adjoining cell is graded.
-
Sheets and charts with linked data from outside the file will be not be linked.
